Scalix: Products: Product Comparison

Scalix: Products: Product Comparison

I'm looking for an Exchange alternative for use in the office, and maybe for our clients. So far the front runners include Scalix, Zimbra and Kerio. I may download the Scalix trial and get it going on my "pet" server.

We need to support blackberries which is the big spanner in the works. There's something about Blackberries that I just don't really get - what's the big deal with this "push" email technology? Seems like Blackberry ties you to the Blackberry Enterprise Server, which in turn ties you to Exchange ... what can a Blackberry do that my Treo can't?

As long as you don't need Crackberries for everyone then just have an exchange server for them and the rest on a real solution. You can set the DNS entries up to be the same domain even with mixed servers.
